Houston, Texas real estate dynamo Sherry Campbell of Energy Realty has joined Blok after leaving real estate brokerage platform Side.
Energy Realty is a boutique brokerage represented by over 40 top-performing, multilingual agents who specialize in providing a white-glove service to clients relocating to Houston from around the world.
“Blok offered me the opportunity to grow my brokerage under my own rules. They are taking over marketing and offering an expanded back-office service to my brokerage and agents so that they can spend time growing their business,” says Sherry.
Meanwhile, the charismatic realtor has set her sights on being the leading brokerage in the world’s energy capital, which inspired the naming of her company, continuing to train her agents to be consummate professionals and deliver 100% to clients. More than $120 million notched up in sales through 500 transactions and nine new agents joining the Energy Realty team in 2023, she’s on track to do just that.
Ethics and Professionalism The Differentiators in a Cutthroat Industry
This partnership is perfectly timed in the wake of the commission lawsuits, according to Blok CEO Shaun Minnie, who says: “I expect a shift in the industry with part-time agents making way for motivated professionals like Energy Realty’s sophisticated team who will excel with the help of Blok’s customized support and services. We are committed to supporting Sherry and her realtors in achieving their objective of becoming the leading boutique brokerage in Houston.”
Sherry lives and breathes her brand, lighting up a room with her vitality, friendliness, and genuine interest in connecting personally. A nomadic lifestyle growing up as a self-confessed army brat taught her to be adaptable at a young age. Exposed to diverse cultures, homes, and friendships, she embraced values such as honesty and hard work.
“My father’s emphasis on truthfulness and hard work has stayed with me my entire life,” she says. “It informs my belief in treating everyone fairly and ethically. Real estate can be cutthroat, but I will never step on someone else to elevate myself.”
Champions of The Community
Sherry established Energy Realty in 2004 after living and working in Africa and Europe and reactivated her real estate career. She acquired her license in 1988 and wanted to leverage her global experiences to assist families relocating to what she believes is one of the most international cities she’s ever lived in.
“Living abroad influenced the focus of my business. It opened my eyes to the challenges of settling in a new country, navigating different customs and procedures. But, at the core, I’ve realized that people, regardless of their origin, share the same basic human needs,” she says. “I love living in Houston; it is special. And I love the real estate industry and truly enjoy helping people. Assisting them in finding a home or helping them settle in Houston is incredibly rewarding.”
Developing Energy Realty was a natural progression for Sherry, who focused on creating a powerhouse brokerage that prioritized professionalism and customer service, offering white-glove treatment underpinned by warmth, dynamism, energy, happiness, clarity, and brightness – the characteristics of her brand color, orange, and the symbolism linked to Houston being the world’s energy capital.
Her team of relocation specialists, fluent in 11 languages and with extensive experience, is committed to assisting clients to find their dream home, whether moving to Houston or within the city. This group of globetrotting international realtors is well-prepared to connect with diverse cultures and adeptly navigate clients through the intricacies of buying and/or selling everything from opulent townhomes to residential plots and securing executive rentals.
Beyond real estate, Sherry and her team are community champions constantly seeking opportunities to volunteer and fundraise. “At Energy Realty, we believe it is very important to give back to the community and pay it forward to those in need,” says Sherry. Previous efforts include fundraising for the I Love Venezuela Foundation at the first annual Energy Corridor International Festival, donating to Katy ISD Food for Families during the holiday season, and joining forces with Save the Children to raise money for the children of Ukraine, among others.
